A physical therapist, they will evaluate your fall risk and medical history, then create an exercise training program to optimize balance and prevent future falls. Examples exercises might include are single-leg stands, dance steps, walking in a figure “8”, obstacle courses, strength training, aerobic training, education, and even fear management.
The most frequent cause of dizziness or disorientation is an inner ear (vestibular) dysfunction in conjunction with a disruption of vision or poor sense of balance. Physical therapy that focuses on the inner ear can help.
