“You deserve to be seen here!! Dr. Michael House is an INCREDIBLE physical therapist! At each appointment, he took the time to answer all my questions and reassure me about any concerns I had. Rather than showing me and monitoring exercises, he used manual manipulation on my knee (massages, stretches, other awesome PT moves) during the appointments and showed me exercises to do at home that sped up my recovery.
He really knows his stuff, and is quite encouraging (event if you don’t always do your exercises with the regularly at which you should). I couldn’t recommend Back to Motion or sing higher praise! Their staff is kind, the equipment is top-notch, and I am now back to 100% 8 months after back to back knee surgeries! Thanks, Dr. House!!” Keller Ann Ruble
Dr. Michael House’s Bio
Michael House is the owner of Back To Motion Physical Therapy. He has been a physical therapist for over 20 years, since graduating from Ithaca College in 1997.
He earned a terminal doctorate in orthopedic manual physical therapy from Andrews University in 2010. He is adjunct faculty at Regis University. He is board-certified in orthopedics. He is fellowship-trained in orthopedic manual physical therapy through the North American Institute of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy (NAIOMT).
He has a special interest in neck pain and problems from head to hand that originate from neck problems. He is not limited to that region of the body, his experience and education are ideal to help determine the root of a person’s complaints in any region of the body.
From the evaluation and the patient’s goals, he implements a plan, working with the patient to meet the set goals. His interventions often include education, exercises, manipulation plus other forms of manual therapy, and trigger point dry needling.
Michael has a long family history in Colorado. His ancestors were homesteaders and miners from the nineteenth century. However, he was born and grew up in Ithaca, NY. He returned to Colorado after serving a year as a volunteer physical therapist in Costa Rica, at a public school for children with cerebral palsy. His experience allowed for him to learn Spanish, so he is able to competently communicate with Spanish speaking patients.
It was in Costa Rica where he met Cristina, a ‘Tica,’ whom he later married. Together they have two children, and live where his parents grew up in Denver. Michael enjoys physical therapy. Moreover, beyond his profession, he looks forward to getting up into the mountains for hiking and camping when he can, fly-fishing, good food and drink, and reading.
